Perforated Vinyl vs Frosted Vinyl
We’re frequently asked the difference between perforated and frosted vinyl for window applications. While frosted vinyl offers a clean aesthetic that lessens the effects of the sun’s rays, it’s also less customizable than it’s counterpart and prevents the end user from seeing in or out.
Perforated vinyl offers interior privacy and the ability to see outward while also allowing for graphics to be printed onto itself.
So how does it work? Perforated vinyl is produced with many small holes cut through the vinyl to form a dense pattern. During the daylight hours, these holes allow those standing inside to see outward, but it drastically cuts down on inward visibility. It also reduces the amount of light entering a room and the heat that often comes with it.
One of the most compelling qualities of perforated vinyl is that it can be printed on. This means that it’s infinitely customizable and provides creative possibilities similar to that of regular vinyl.
Whether you’re looking to generate brand awareness or add a splash of colour to an otherwise dull-looking exterior window, perforated vinyl covers all the bases.
